London: Ca. 1920. Lovely signed etching of the Thames, with wooden boats and picturesque old wood buildings in the foreground, the river plied by ships in the foreground, and the city in the distance. Aesthetically pleasing.

A leading English etcher, engraver and watercolorist, of the 1920's and 1930's, Smart studied printmaking techniques under Sir Frank Short. His favorite subjects were river views and London city scenes as well as European landscape scenes. A very little foxing. Signed in pencil at lower right. 9 x 6", paper 10 x 7 1/4" Very good condition. Item #24506
