This is map II of Fleurieu's book with the same title, published in 1791; copper engraving tipped in on ffep, 'A Man of Cape Dieman in New Holland' (5.125 x 7.5"); Petermann map 'South East Australia, Moravian Stations" tipped in before title page with gold fields shaded (7.75 x 6.5"). Two maps inserted in rear pocket, 'Sketch Map of the Voyage of Prado and Torres in 1606 through the Passage between New Guinea and Australia now known as Torres Strait' (22.25 x 12.5"), and a reproduction of 'Planos de las Bahias descubiertas, el Ano de 1606, en Las Islas del Espiritu Santo y de Nueva Guinea...' for Henry Stevens, Son & Stiles (23 x 16.25").

Pale blue stamped cloth covers with gilt ship on front cover and gilt title on spine. Spine with raised emblem, chipped. 8vo, xvi, 261pp, 3 maps bound in and 2 in rear cover pocket. there are in addition the 2 original maps and one engraving mentioned above .
