This Reading Pa directory provides monthly telephone rates,how to make emergency calls, how to use a dial telephone, how to make out-of-town calls, and telephone service rates. Covers the area around Reading, from Mahoney City in the north down to Lancaster; and from Harrisburg in the west to Bethlehem and Philadelphia in the east.
Inside cover with paste down for frequently called numbers, partially completed in pencil by a previous owner; rear paste down with printed form laid down giving locations of fire alarm boxes.
Large 4to, 264 pp, 64 pp Classified advertisements. The original gray wrappers printed in blue, inserted in the original brown stamped cloth hardboard covers used from year to year, titled "Telephone Directory" at front board; rear board with stamped circular advertisement. Boards and spine rubbed, cloth split along spine, but covers holding. Pages toned as is normal with this paper; some chipping at page edges. Good condition. Item #25612
