New York: Ca. 1930s. Four wonderfully colorful linoleum prints by the renowned Viennese born artist Leon Dolice (1892 - 1960), in vivid oranges, reds and yellows, of iconic New York City landmarks.
These warm and vibrant views include: the Chrysler Building, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Washington Square Park, and View of Central Park. Each postcard entitled "Visions of New York, From the original linoleum print by Leon Dolice" on verso. Dolice's works are in the collections of the Museum of the City of New York, the New York Public Library, the New York Historical Society, the National Gallery of Art, and the Philadelphia Print Club.
Postcards 5 1/2 x 3 1/4", postally unused, undivided backs, printed on thick card stock. The linoleum prints bright and fresh, very clean. Very good condition. Item #25660
