Uncle Sam Suffragee, Postcard.

New York: [Dunston-Weiler Lithograph Company], [ca.1909]. Part of a twelve-card series of full-color lithographic postcards opposing woman suffrage. This card, labeled Suffragette Series No. 6, features an illustration of Uncle Sam dressed as a woman. It has gold borders and a gold block along the skirt and a gold grid pattern behind the head and torso of Uncle Sam. The verso is a split back, addressed to a person in Montrose NY but not postally used. Some cards are stamped at the bottom with the words " Copyrighted. 1909 by Dunston-Weiler Lithograph Co." This card is only stamped "Copyrighted". Card a trifle rubbed with an old fold. Good + overall. Item #25906
