Edwards Pierrepont (1817 - 1892) was a prominent New York jurist, politician and supporter of Ulysses S. Grant for President in 1868 and 1872. He served as the New York U.S. Attorney (Southern District of New York, 1869), U.S. Attorney General (1875 - 1876), and U.S. Minister to England.
