Number 34, June 1950, with a long cover story, entitled, "Seawanhaka Revisited", by Thomas Lattimore, concerning the burning of the steamer in June 1880, departing New York and bound for Long Island. Also an article on the Hudson's last large steam tug boats, the Perseverance and the Stirling Tomkins, by Donald Ringwald.

The September issue with a cover story on steamboats in the West, celebrating the centennial of steam boating on the Columbia & Willamette. Much information on steamboats in Oregon & Washington, and the second part of the Seawanhaka article.
