New York: John F. Murphy, 1900. Pamphlet. “Containing maps of Mount Hope Bay, Narragansett Bay, Long Island Sound, East and Hudson River... Showing the course of steamers, light houses, islands and points of interest, together with history and other information.” The first 60 pages recount the history of Rhode Island, from its settling in 1637 by "Baptists, Antinomians and Quakers". This was also the site of a respected and prosperous Jewish community- the Touro Synagogue was opened December 2, 1763. The last 40 pages turn to islands surrounding Manhattan, with little on the Hudson River.
