Texas Land Transfer Patent from James Strong to P.T. Andrews, Grayson County.

Texas: 1852. "For $250, ...James Strong does sell, release and convey to P.T. Andrews... land in Grayson County, on the East side of Mill Creek, a tributary of the Red River, known and described as follows being a part of Susannah Hortons Headright, and secured to me the said Strong by virtue of deed from John D. Back and bounded as follows, Beginning at the north west corner of said Susannah Hortons Survery, at a Hackberry and burr Oak... standing in the east line of a 1280 acre survery belonging to J.L. Hisston, then South 77 degrees East 1217 ... a stake in prairy (sic) from which an elm marked X is S. 85 degrees E. 150 varars (?), then south 13 degrees west, the east line of the original survey to Emanuel Everharts Spring Branch then down and with the meanders of said branch to the west line of said original survey. Thence N 13 degrees east to the beginning, 91 acres." The land appears to be somewhat west of present day Cambridge, Texas.
