1929. A large b&w printed photograph of engine care taking place on the 'Floyd Bennett', the aircraft used by Admiral Byrd in his 1929 flight to the South Pole. Visible are several ladders used to service the engines with 6 men at work. Text hand printed in ink on mat board.

20 x 15.5" in matted frame, no glass. Frame size 25 x 21". Mat dusty, shows slt damp stain on bottom inner edge which does not appear on the image. Closed tear at left margin of both mat and image, not affecting image. Otherwise very good condition. Item #28278
