This copy is bound in the publisher's original red blind and gilt stamped cloth "Routledge's Illustrated One Shilling Juveniles"; Princeton's is in contemporary leatherbacked boards.

18mo, 16 x 10 cm, [146] pp including the title and translator's page, which is signed "The Translator". Original red blind and gilt stamped cloth "Routledge's Illustrated One Shilling Juveniles". [3] pls. 13 stories. Some very light marking on the board with slt. wear on the early lower corners. Original yellow endpapers, signed by a previous owner "Mary E. Wells Jan. 1st 1857". Spine with expert restoration to the tips.
