Mansfield left New Zealand at age 19, settled in England a was friends with leading lights of the Bloomsbury Group, such as D. H. Lawrence, Virginia Woolf and Lady Ottoline Morell. She was an important figure in the modernist movement.
Introduction by John Middleton Murry, Mansfield's husband, and published posthumously. In the publishers brown paper dust jacket. 8vo, (viii) 162pp. Orig. brown buckram, bright gilt on spine. Dj dusty with a couple of small chips, priced 15/. Slt. foxing on endpapers. Gilt top edge, others untrimmed.
