This book was first published in 1900, by 1902 at the end of the war it had been published in 16 editions. Bound in publisher's dark blue cloth with a colorful paper label on front which includes the flags of the antagonists; title in gilt on the spine. 8vo, 478pp, 5 folding maps (complete for the first edition).
