1912. These mini-posters were used as advertising on letters sent through the mail. Introduced at the beginning of the 20th century, they were widely used. Approx. 1 3/4 x 2 3/8". Lithographically printed in full color by Marken-Kunst Munich 1912. "A.W. Faber "Castell" Bleistifte". An advertisement for Faber Castell pencils, the illustration of a scientist noting in a diary a telescopic reading, with penguins and the ship in the background. Turquoise sky, green border.
