London: Whittaker & Co, 1851. Second edition. Hardcover. Includes a "List of ships which have touched Pitcairn since 1808", and a list of the inhabitants of Pitcairn. Brodie was sailing to New Zealand to the California gold fields when blown off course and landed on Pitcairn's Island. While spending time on the island he wrote about Captain Bligh and the Bounty mutiny and mutineers, documenting their stay on the island.
